Noeline served in the Women’s Royal Army Corps before working as a laboratory technician in the Medical Corps. Years later, she began losing her sight due to wet and dry macular degeneration, eventually losing her central vision and the independence she once relied on.

After joining Blind Veterans UK in 2020, she received practical support, specialist equipment, and encouragement to help her adapt to life with sight loss and regain confidence.

Today, Noeline uses talking scales to prepare Christmas dinner safely, accessible technology to keep in touch with loved ones, and a magnifier to enjoy making festive cards. She has even rekindled her love of knitting.
